Alex: "So, tell me a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?"

Contestant: "Well, I like to read the Bible and I find it very inspiring. I mean, just look at Zechariah 4. In this chapter, the Lord appears to the prophet Zechariah and shows him a lampstand with seven lamps, each lamp representing a different kind of spiritual power. The Lord tells him that these seven spirits are the eyes of the Lord, watching over the entire earth. He also tells Zechariah that Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, will be successful in rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem, even though the work seems impossible. The Lord promises to be with him and give him the strength to finish the task."

Alex (sighing): "Uh huh. Interesting. Anything else?"

Contestant: "Well, the Lord also tells Zechariah to take a message of hope to the people of Judah, that one day the Lord will bring peace and justice to the earth, and that the Lord will be their protection and strength."

Alex (exasperated): "Please tell me you're done with this Bible stuff."

Contestant: "Actually, there's more. In the last part of the chapter, the Lord tells Zechariah that the rebuilding of the temple is a sign that all of his promises will be fulfilled. He says the people of Judah will be blessed if they remain faithful to him."

Alex (rolling his eyes): "Great. Is that it?"

Contestant: "Yes...that's it for Zechariah 4."

Alex: "Finally. Well, it's been interesting talking about the Bible, but let's move on to something else. What do you like to do in your free time?"
