Joe: Alright, so we've got Revelation 6 here. What does it say?
Bible Expert: Sure! This is the sixth chapter of the book of Revelation, and it starts with a vision of the Lamb, who is Jesus, opening the seven seals of a scroll that is held in God's right hand.
Joe: Whoa, whoa, wait! What do those seven seals mean?
Bible Expert: Well, when the Lamb opens each of the seals, a different event takes place that brings destruction and chaos to the world. The first four seals unleash the four horses of the apocalypse: the white horse symbolizing conquest, the red horse symbolizing war, the black horse symbolizing famine and death, and the pale horse symbolizing pestilence and Hades.
Joe: Jamie, get me a picture of those horses!
Jamie: Sure thing, Joe!
Joe: Cool, so what happens after that?
Bible Expert: After the four horses, the fifth seal is opened, and the souls of those who have been martyred for their faith are seen beneath the altar in Heaven. Then the sixth seal is opened, and the sun and moon go dark, the stars fall from the sky, and the mountains and islands move out of their places. This causes a great earthquake and a great cry from the people on Earth.
Joe: Wow, that sounds intense! So what happens in the last seal?
Bible Expert: The last seal is opened, and heaven is opened up and the throne of God appears. The people on Earth are terrified and hide in the rocks and cry out for the mountains to fall on them to hide them from God's wrath.
