Joe: Alright, so what’s the deal with Revelation 17?
Bible Expert: In Revelation 17, we see the vision of a woman riding a scarlet-colored beast. She is said to be the Great Prostitute, or the Whore of Babylon, and she holds a golden cup filled with abominable things.
Joe: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Isn’t that a little harsh? Prostitute?
Jamie: Joe, this is the Bible we’re talking about.
Joe: Right, right. My bad. So what does this mean?
Bible Expert: Well, the woman represents the power and corruption of the great city of Babylon. The beast she is riding is likely a reference to the Antichrist.
Joe: The Antichrist! So, is he gonna be evil?
Bible Expert: Well, he is said to be a king who will lead many nations astray and will ultimately be defeated.
Joe: Wow. Sounds intense. Anything else?
Bible Expert: Yes. In the chapter, we also see the seven heads of the beast, which represent seven rulers or kings who will come before the Antichrist.
Joe: That's crazy! So, what happens in the end?
Bible Expert: The Antichrist and the Whore of Babylon will ultimately be destroyed and thrown into the lake of fire.
