Joe: Okay, so what do we have in Leviticus 10?

Bible Expert: Leviticus 10 is all about the law of the priests and their offerings to the Lord. It begins by telling us the story of two of Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, who were killed by the Lord for offering strange fire and not following his commands.

Joe: Whoa, that's intense! So this is a warning to the priests then?

Bible Expert: Exactly. The Lord goes on to warn the priests to not drink wine or any strong drink before offering sacrifices, and to follow his commands. He also tells them to distinguish between clean and unclean animals and to offer the proper sacrifices.

Joe: Jamie, get me a list of those sacrifices and unclean animals.

Jamie: Sure thing!

Bible Expert: The Lord also tells the priests to keep their garments holy and to not go near a dead body. This chapter ends with the Lord warning the priests to keep his laws, or else they will be punished.

Joe: Wow, so this chapter is all about following the Lord's commands and being obedient.

Bible Expert: That's right.
