Joe: Alright folks, we've got a special guest on the show today, an expert on the Bible, here to give us a summary of the book of Daniel, chapter by chapter. Let's welcome him in!

Bible Expert: Thank you, Joe. It's great to be here.

Joe: So let's get right into it. What can you tell us about Daniel 2?

Bible Expert: Sure. Well, in this chapter we find out that King Nebuchadnezzar has had a troubling dream that has left him feeling troubled and afraid. He summons his wise men to interpret the dream for him, but they are unable to do so.

Joe: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. What kind of dream was it?

Bible Expert: It was a dream of a large statue with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and feet of iron and clay.

Joe: That's wild. What does it mean?

Bible Expert: Well, the dream contains a prophecy about the future of the world and its kingdoms.

Joe: Wow, that sounds pretty intense. So what does Daniel do?

Bible Expert: Well, Daniel is able to interpret the dream for the King, and he explains that the statue represents four successive world empires that will arise and then fall. Daniel also explains that in the end, God's kingdom will be established on earth and will never be destroyed.

Joe: Interesting! Anything else in this chapter?

Bible Expert: Yes, the King is so impressed with Daniel that he promotes him to a high position in his court and gives him many gifts.

Joe: Wow, that's great! Alright folks, so that's it for Daniel 2. We'll be back with Daniel 3 soon.
