Joe: Alright, welcome back to the show. I'm here with Bible Expert Stanley and today we're talking about Micah 1.

Stanley: Yes, as you know, this book is one of the twelve minor prophets that appear in the Old Testament. It is comprised of seven chapters.

Joe: Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Seven chapters? That's it?

Stanley: Yes, that's correct.

Joe: Wow, so what's the deal with this book? What does it tell us?

Stanley: Well, Micah 1 starts off by showing us God's indignation against the people of Israel for their idolatry and disobedience. He proclaims that He will punish them for their sins and will bring justice to the land.

Joe: Damn, that sounds intense. What else is in this chapter?

Stanley: Micah 1 also contains prophecies of the coming of the Messiah and the restoration of Israel. It also speaks of the importance of justice and loving kindness.

Joe: Wait, Jamie, quickly Google this for me, who is the Messiah?

Jamie: The Messiah is the anointed one, or savior, that was promised in the Old Testament and fulfilled by Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

Joe: Wow, okay, that's heavy. So, I'm guessing this book is pretty important then?

Stanley: Yes, absolutely. This book is an important reminder of God's love and justice, and it shows us that even though His people may have disobeyed, He is still faithful to them and will bring about ultimate redemption.
