Joe: Hey! I'm here with Bible Expert, John, and we're discussing Galatians 3. So John, what can you tell us about this chapter?

John: Sure Joe. Galatians 3 is all about faith versus works, and how faith leads to righteousness. Paul is basically saying that the law of Moses is no longer necessary for salvation, only faith in Jesus.

Joe: Wait, so the law isn't necessary for salvation?

John: Exactly, Joe. Paul argues that the law was given to show us our need for a savior, and that once Jesus came, we no longer need the law.

Joe: Wow! That's quite a statement. So what else does he say?

John: Well, he goes on to explain that all who have faith in Jesus are Abraham's descendants and are under the same promise of salvation. He also talks about the purpose of the law and how it serves as a guardian until faith comes, and how faith is superior to the law.

Joe: Interesting. Jamie, can you Google that?

Jamie: Sure thing, Joe.

John: Paul also talks about how faith brings freedom from sin, and how all who have faith in Jesus are no longer under the law, but under grace.

Joe: Well, that sounds pretty profound. Anything else?

John: Yes, Joe. Paul ends the chapter by saying that the law is good, but it does not bring salvation. The only thing that brings salvation is faith in Jesus.
